Abstract

The development of information technology encourages educational institutions to transform digitally, including in the management of library services. This study designs a website-based book borrowing and returning information system using the CodeIgniter 4 framework. The development method used is the SDLC waterfall model, including needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, implementation, and maintenance. This system is equipped with login features, member management, borrowing and returning transactions, fines, and reporting. The results of Blackbox and UAT testing show that the system runs as expected with a 100% success rate. This system is expected to be able to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the book borrowing and returning process in the library in real-time, easily accessible, and responsive to user needs.
